Folk Dress on Postage Stamps

I’ve written before about my collection of postcards showing folk dress. I also have a collection of stamps on this theme, from most of the countries of central and eastern Europe and former Yugoslavia. A considerable number of very attractive and colourful designs have been produced, especially by Poland, Hungary and Romania.

Hello Diane. It’s not a secret! Most of my east European stamps (and postcards) have come from online sellers via ebay, including all the Ukrainian stamps I’ve put up recently. The sellers are usually in Estonia, Poland, Romania – usually wherever the stamps originated – but my latest 2020 Ukrainian ones came from a seller in Moldova. I’ll carry on putting a variety on my site – I have a lot!
